What's The Longest Bible Study Length You Heard Of?

i knew a sister in my old congregation that had two sons and i actually studied with one.

i left the org, went back to college, new job etc.

then i ran into her about ten years later at a store.

The COBOE has had a regular study on Thursday mornings for years now; he always goes alone and I don't know if anyone has ever met this study, which leads me to believe there is no study he just fakes it for service time. (Hey what better way to make time than to create a fake study that only you go on, if anyone wants to go or meet the study just say, "oh they stopped" and make up a new one; it's genius.)

Anyhoo

My Dad studied on and off for probably 20 years before stopping altogether. I think he only did it to keep make my Mom happy and to keep her off his back because he wasn't baptized when they met and she thought he would get flee dipped after they got married; they've been married 43 years now and nope, not yet. I know my Dad pretty well, we're almost exactly alike, and I expect a deathbed conversion if my Mom is still alive.

I just downloaded the whole AJWRB site into the brains of two 18 year old spanish pioneers

i just happened to see them walking along a few stops before my bust stop, so i got off early to see if i could catch them.

then i ran into someone i knew, but i still was able to catch up to them.. i told them who i was and that i work with ajwrb.

they of course haven't heard about it, but i invited them to go on and check it out.

guilt tripping isn't working!

i had a ms come into my work today to encourage me to come back to the meetings.

he asked me how i was doing and i smiled real big and told him i was doing wonderful!!!

he was completely confused because i think i was supposed to be feeling bad and guilty for not going out in service and feeling like the wrath of jehovah was upon me.

The horrid thing is every witless woman would answer the way you've stated above but then study the article and either gloss right over the "you're an evil un-submissive woman if you don't like, or just take, your beatings from your a-hole husband" or give a totally different answer afterwards.

2011 Yearbook= BEARDS are still for non-Witnesses ONLY!!!! Beard Fear?

1960's the watchtower pictures showed jesus clean shaven and with short hair {watch 1954 p.511 "why do watchtower books now show jesus with short hair and no beard?

The beard thing just reeks of wash-towel control tactics; they use the three most important elements:

1-Chastisement: You're naughty and eeeevil if you have a beard.

2-Isolation: Since you're naughty and eeeevil you probably won't make it through the big A nor can you have any "privileges".

3-Confromity: If you shave (((POOF))) the first two go away.

In wash-towel land it's realy that easy!

As witnesses did we ever have a normal family life?

something i read about people born into cults and high control groups stuck with me.

this was that we have never known normal family relationships our family life has always been abnormal.

witnesses will argue that they spend time with their children and that they are constantly following bible based counsel on how to be good husbands, wives, parents and children.

Isolation is a great control tool and by tearing apart your real family and replace it with their robotic witless version they succeed in doing so.

How? They drive wedges in, turn it into a sick twisted abstract circus and expect YOU to believe, and act, like it's normal; because if you don’t it’s YOUR fault and there’s something wrong with YOU.

Too something that always struck me as odd was, they believe that in the last days "worldly" people will have no natural affection, yet when you are "in" you're expected to cut yourself off from your non-witless family; so where does that leave natural affection? On the flip side when someone leaves you are to shun and basically pretend they are dead; so, again, where does that leave natural affection?

Seems to me they, not you or your family, are the one's lacking.

Unless you taped their eyes open and kept them from humming kingdumb songs over and over again, so they could ignore you, you wouldn't get very far.

I think a better alternative would be to trap them in a room, take them out one by one and tell them if they can prove all wash-towel doctrine using only the bible they will get be set free unharmed otherwise you'll tattoo "apostate who loves satan" across their foreheads before releasing them; they'd hang their own consciences with this one.
